CostX Scope Capture

What do you need to complete a structural steel take-off?

Send the latest issue Structural & Architectural drawings (GA plans, elevations, sections and details), the steelwork notes/specification and any Engineer mark-ups help too.

Do you break down quantities by level/zone and member size/section? (WB/UB/UC/RHS/SHS/CHS/PFC/EA etc)

Yes. Where the drawings have multiple floors/levels, we schedule member sizes within their correct locations so steel fabricators can easily follow the takeoff and apply the right rates to prevent scope gaps.

What’s included in your steelwork take-offs for fabricators?

Total kg, meters, m2 and count by member. We isolate and measure structural steel quantities for columns, beams, portals, struts, plates, stiffeners, bracing and connection plates that are shown on the drawings, presented as a clear schedule that's ready for pricing.

Can you re-measure revised drawings and show what changed for re-pricing/variations?

Yes. Take-off revisions will include an overarching delta summary so you can quickly identify what changed, and where, to help simply variation submissions.
