This service is for Builders & Concreters who need their quantities to be right — undercooked and you're eating margin paying for deliveries mid-pour, overcooked and you missed the boat.

The drawings are worked through methodically - capturing each element so nothing gets left on the table. The scope is split out by item, and is split out by Stage/Zone/Level for larger projects.

The detailed schedule includes volumes, areas and linear meter quantities that makes following the scope & pricing straightforward, with quantities to send straight to your ready-mix supplier.

Whether it's a single residential slab-on-grade or a multi-level commercial floor system with complex columns and beams - Accurate quantities. Quick turnaround. Simple.

FAQ

What's included in a concrete takeoff for slabs, footings and foundations?

Everything you need to order and price: ready-mix volumes in m³ for each element (footings, floor slabs, columns, beams and pads), formwork/boxing dimensions, slab mesh and reinforcing steel, DPM/polythene and finish areas in m².

Do you measure reinforcing steel, mesh and formwork separately?

Yes. Mesh is scheduled by sheet count and m², reinforcing bar by size/length/weight and formwork by m² or lineal metres. Splitting concrete, steel and formwork means you can price supply and labour accurately.

How do you calculate concrete volumes (m³) from the structural drawings?

Every element is measured manually in CostX from the structural plans and sections — no rough m² allowances. Volumes are broken out per pour so you can send quantities straight to your ready-mix supplier and cross-check dockets against the takeoff.

Can quantities be split by pour, stage or level on bigger projects?

Yes — larger jobs are broken out by stage, zone or level so a multi-level floor system or staged pour sequence is easy to order, price and claim against. The Excel workbook doubles as a tracking tool for progress claims and variations as the project runs.
