I’m Chris Guiney, the QS behind SubsQS Ltd. I started out on the tools and spent 10+ years in construction before leaving to study Quantity Surveying, then moving into consultancy across New Zealand and Australia - so I’m big on straight answers and estimates that reflect how work is actually built.
Over the last 10+ years in construction and several years in consulting across New Zealand and Australia, I’ve worked through everything from master-planning and early feasibility to detailed pre-tender estimates and financial reporting.
Today I help developers, architects, builders, and subcontractors with cost plans and feasibility estimates, tender-ready SoQs, tender preparation and progress claim/variation checks that are delivered in an easy to digest format.
